It’s great that after the first day of practicing meditation, I want to continue to nurture the seed. Once you get something going, you want to keep it up. This process is something that has to be treated like a plant. If you want it to grow, you have to water it. If you want it to disintegrate, you don’t water it at all. About 10 minutes into day 2, I suddenly started to feel irritated and moody. I know what many people are going to be thinking now that I’ve said this. You’re irritated and moody? But you’re meditating! This is true. This is actually a common thing. What happens when you start practicing meditation, is that suppressed things come up. Suppressed things come up when you’re relaxed. So if you have any issues that you’ve suppressed in your mind, they’re going to come up. It’s like a bubble that expands. When you meditate, the bubble is really small at first. Meditation allows it to come up and it starts to expand. Suppressing the issue in this case is counter productive and can lead to energy blockage which leads to health issues. Whatever comes up for you, just let it go. It’s useful to write down these issues that come up in a journal so you can reconstruct your thoughts. Nearing the end of the meditation though, the outcomes of my current goals that I have in my mind were being constructed, creating good, positive feelings. Remember that meditation is a journey to learning more about you. Whatever is suppressed in you, allow it to come up. The more suppression you can get out of you, the better for your life and your body.
